This product reminds me so much of being a kid exposed to poison ivy, and having to rub calamine lotion all over to dry out the sores and keep you from itching. I can only assume that is from the camphor (which I have used in the past and recommended lotions with it for people going through hormonal acne issues). You apply it with a Q-tip apparently, which I find to be a terrible method as you can only dip each side of the Q-tip in ones to maintain the formulas integrity and you end up wasting so much because the Q-tip absorbs much of the fluid. I’ve also tried using it with a cotton pad and pressing it into the skin like a mask, and I actually preferred that method.
You definitely need to use this overnight, as it will leave a very distinctive beige imprint anywhere you apply this. It also have an incredibly strong alcohol-like smell which I know to be the smell of concentrated salicylic acid.
When a pimple is just forming, there’s the anticipation for it to burst and finish its course and then there is the aftermath near the end when you just can’t wait for it to completely dry up and flake off. When I saw this Clear Skin Drying Lotion by ArtNaturals, it was a no brainer for me to try it out. For some reason, I thought you can only get this stuff from a dermatologist.
Anyway, when I received it, I had to wait about a week and a half before I could try it because my face was clear. Never have I been so eager to get a zit! LOL Before I used this, I made sure not to shake the bottle so that the sediment stayed at the bottom of the bottle. Dipped a clean cotton swab down to the sediment and applied it to a pimple on the side of my jawline. It was a light very light salmon color dot and no wonder the directions say to use before bedtime.
